Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to the most important questions about LittleCue.

General

What is LittleCue?
LittleCue is a professional audio cue and jingle player for Android. The app was designed for live use and allows you to precisely organise, configure and play audio files at the touch of a button — whether in theatre, musicals, comedy shows, radio, events, sports, churches or presentations. LittleCue can also be used as a cue book with checklists, stage directions and timed reminders.
What use cases is LittleCue designed for?
LittleCue is for anyone who needs to play audio reliably and precisely: sound engineers in theatre and musicals, directors and stage managers, comedy and cabaret artists, radio and podcast hosts, content creators and streamers, DJs and musicians, event organisers, fitness and yoga studios, dance schools, churches, escape rooms, theme parks, schools, sports events, conferences and presentations.
Is LittleCue available for iOS or desktop?
Currently, LittleCue is exclusively available for Android (Android 7.0 and above). An iOS or desktop version is not planned at this time.
What languages is the app available in?
The app is available in 12 languages: German, English, French, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, Serbian, Bosnian, Croatian, Russian, Chinese and Hindi. All languages are unlocked in the FREE version as well.

Pricing & Licence

What is the difference between FREE and PRO?
The FREE version offers 2 shows with 4 parts each and 20 cues per part, 4 colours, all cue types, tile view, auto-continue and all 12 languages — completely ad-free. PRO expands to unlimited shows, parts and cues, 12 colours and unlocks all advanced features: simultaneous playback with ducking, cue book, controller support, fade-in/out, stage mode and export/import.
Is it really a one-time payment — no subscription?
Yes. PRO is a one-time payment via the Google Play Store for the current version. Updates are free. For entirely new versions, there may be optional paid upgrades at longer intervals. There are no monthly or annual fees, no hidden costs and no in-app purchases afterwards.
Can I upgrade from FREE to PRO?
Yes, you can upgrade at any time via the Google Play Store. Your existing shows and settings are fully preserved.
Can I use the app on multiple devices?
Yes. Your purchase is linked to your Google account. You can install LittleCue on all Android devices connected to the same Google account.

Technical & Features

What audio formats are supported?
LittleCue supports all common audio formats that Android processes natively — including MP3, WAV, OGG, FLAC, AAC and M4A. Exotic or DRM-protected formats are not supported.
Can I transfer my shows between devices?
Yes. Each show can be exported as a ZIP file, including all audio files and settings. The ZIP file can be imported on another device — ideal for backups or switching to a new tablet.
What happens to my shows if I uninstall the app?
When you uninstall, all app data is deleted, including your shows. We recommend exporting all shows as ZIP beforehand. After reinstalling, you can simply import them again.
How does the panic button work?
The panic button is always accessible in playback mode and instantly stops all audio playback with a single tap — without fade-out. It is designed as a safety feature for live operation.
Can I use LittleCue without an internet connection?
Yes, fully. LittleCue does not require an internet connection for playback. All audio files are stored locally on the device. A connection is only required for downloading from the Play Store and for updates.
What controllers are supported?
LittleCue supports all HID-compatible USB and Bluetooth controllers — keyboards, foot pedals, presenters and more. Key assignments are freely configurable with 13+ actions such as GO, STOP, PAUSE, PANIC, navigation, volume and view switching. Multiple controller profiles are possible. Controller support is a PRO feature.
What is the difference between live and rehearsal mode?
Live mode activates stage mode, which protects playback from interruptions — system volume changes and notifications are blocked. Rehearsal mode gives full access to all settings, scrub mode for audio testing, and moving cues via controller.
